Conversaciones entre el Llaverito y Yo

Welcome!!

Why am I doing this? Well, just to write down some things that come to me now and then. It is mainly for my own entertainment, but I also use it for more serious things, like studying and reviewing things I like. I also tell publicly what I should be telling privately. It is written both in English and Spanish but not side by side. Some things sound better in English and some sound better in Spanish.

You are welcome to nose around.

The Great Pumpkin

Although I like all the Peanuts characters, Linus is my favorite because of this view of the world. It kind of hurts to see him wait for the Great Pumpkin to arrive and give presents to children all over the world, but if you think of it a little, Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men are exactly in that line of reasoning.

Linus is basically dispassionate, except for his expectations of the Great Pumpkin. He represents Charlie Brown's mature and non emotional side and has Lucy's aggressiveness but correctly channeled and used. Linus has a good mind, but still infantile because of his Halloween expectations. Unlike him, I have discovered that there is no Great Pumpkin and that I might as well conclude that there is no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny or...

I like Linus and I like to see him wait for the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. He'll wise up, eventually.
